Good product for being an artificial tanner. Let’s be honest, nothing beats getting a gradual natural tan. But if you’re coming out of winter, you know how pale your legs are since they haven’t seen the light of day in months. So, I think setting a realistic expectation is important to have when purchasing a fake tanner. Considering this, I will give the St. Tropez tanning mousse a solid 3.5 stars. I appreciate the lack of strong fragrance you typically experience with these tanners, the mousse like application and the over ease of use. I purchased the matching mitten, and even though it's on the flimsy side, it's did its job well. I love how quickly it absorbed into the skin without feeling sticky and without rubbing off on my clothes or bedsheets. The first time I applied it I washed it off after 3 hours, as suggested. However, I didn't see a big difference on my skin. I applied it a second time and left it on for about 6 or 7 hours as many others commented and voila! It really left behind a deeper tan. The following morning, it definitely matured and gave me a nice glowy tan. I am currently on vacation at the beach and it's been almost a week since I applied the deep tan. It has faded a bit, but I still have some nice color on my legs. The picture I included is from our first day in the pool. It does have an orange like tint to it, but I don't think it's realistically possible to avoid it altogether. It doesn't bother me that much, but it might for others. The second picture is from 6 days afterwards. I plan to use it throughout the spring/summer and recommend it to anyone looking for an easy formula with positive results.

Pretty good, not exactly exceptional.

First time tanning, ever. Three hours is not enough. It’s a little too orange for me, but otherwise it’s a solid finish and colour. I can’t thing of any strong reasons to avoid this product, but it’s probably not “the best”, at least not for me. Grain of salt, I am *very* green, so a red base is probably what I need.

I've been using this self tanner for a year now and I keep repurchasing. Not streaky, even application, great olive tone. Not orange at all. And fades evenly. Smells amazing and goes from light to a deep tan. My favorite!

My go to everyday tan

My go-to everyday tan. Applies with a deep colour, which after washing becomes very natural and smooth- no streaks. It is moisturising on the skin and leaves it looking glowy. One star lost as it comes off in odd patches/ wherever clothing, bra straps rub on skin.

Don’t Buy It

I’m an experienced self tanner and this is one of the worst I’ve tried I can’t believe it has such good reviews. It’s so sticky and impossible to blend or layer. Waste of time and money

Je l’utilise depuis des années très régulièrement l’été ou en intersaison, il s’applique très bien et ne fait pas de trace, il ne sent pas l’autobronzant comme d’autres, l’effet bronzé est quasi immediat (1h à 2h)

Great even for darker skin tones!

The fact that the glove comes in the kit is so nice!! I love the pump on the bottle. The self tan comes out smoothly and melts into the skin quickly. Sometimes self tan takes a bit to rub in (kinda like sunscreen) and I hate that. This was dry immediately and there was no transfer. This one melted right in. I will say the smell of the self tan is similar to sunscreen so if you are smell sensitive beware. I’m a black woman who likes to self tan to keep my skin tone even. It was perfect for that! I

This one just works well for me. I can adjust the tone and it always looks good. Can't go wrong with this OG.

Great for medium skin tones

I don't self tan often but this is what I used for a while when I do. This is also really the only self tanner I've ever used so I don't have much to compare to! For reference I am Filipino and have an orange-y tone to my skin, and this matches pretty well but if you are super pale or have more of a pink undertone, I can imagine it would look super unnatural! The smell isn't bad but it's not great. I usually leave it on overnight and it gets pretty dark and looks pretty glowy. Not very patchy if you apply it well! Layers pretty well too in my opinion.

I love this stuff! It is really easy to use, blends out very nicely with the mitt. I don’t think it smells bad at all, just like a typical self tanner. I really like that you can keep it on for 1-3 hours depending on how dark you want it. It doesn’t transfer at all and left me with a really nice tan.

i love the olive tone this tan has but as someone who likes to put on their self tan and just go to sleep its not for me as it develops too dark and its too much of a hassle to jump back in the shower
