The absolute best sunscreen ever! Glides on like a dream and gives your skin a glow! Worth the price, and the bottle lasts longer than it looks.

Nothing else I wear gets me the compliments

Third bottle of this. First of all, it works, but it is the way it makes my skin look and get compliments on that keep me coming back. I also prefer the SPF 50, and it is difficult to get that high of an SPF in a workable product. Makes your skin beautiful.

nice but nothing special

This is a good sunscreen. Texture is nice, absorbs easily. It’s a chemical sunscreen so it doesn’t leave a white cast. It does have a sunscreen-y smell and there is a sheen to the sunscreen so it is very dewy. That being said, I really don’t think it’s anything special to justify the crazy price tag. The sunscreen market now has a huge number of options with this type of texture, all for way less money.

Very expensive. Smooth to apply. Doesn’t leave a cast. Feel indulgent. I just wish it came in a pump bottle.

The perfect sunscreen <3 love it

This La Mer UV Protecting Fluid sunscreen is the perfect complement to a morning skincare routine. It has a thin milky texture, similar to Laroche-Posay’s much loved facial sunscreens. It melts into your skin the moment it’s swept on. I’ve used it alone on top of my skincare and it makes an excellent makeup base; I’ve also used it with heavier blurring silicone primers, it played nicely with those as well, no pilling. The scent is very light but typically La Mer luxe. My skin has had no bad reaction to it, including around my eyes. Before this I was using the Dermalogica age defense SPF50, but I think I like the La Mer SPF50 better. I believe it would be appropriate for all skin types due to its very light non-greasy and non-drying texture. Currently I use both La Mer and Perricone MD for my morning routine. When I use La Mer I first apply the Treatment Lotion, then the Concentrate, then the Regenerating Serum, and finally I apply the La Mer UV Protecting Fluid. I don’t use an additional moisturizer, this is usually enough for my skin. When I use Perricone I start with the Neuropeptide Facial Conformer serum or the High Potency Lifting Firming serum, then the Acyl-Glutathione eyelid lift serum (love!!), the Neuropeptide day cream, and finally the La Mer SPF50 Protecting Fluid. I listed out the products I use, so you know that all of these products work very well with this sunscreen, with no pilling or balling up. There’s nothing worse than investing in a sunscreen and finding out it’s not compatible with your skincare. This UV Protecting fluid has a texture that seems to be very tolerant of a wide variety of skincare products!

I love this sunscreen

This is the perfect sunscreen for underneath any makeup. I did not burn. Another plus is that it does not give a white cast. It melted into my skin and you can’t even tell I have sunscreen on.

I love, love, love this sunscreen! It doesn't dry out my skin or clog the pores. I wear it every day!

must have

I’m 42 with dry skin. This sunscreen is a must have for me. Doesn’t burn my eyes. Lasted all day at a windy, cold track meet. My skin was protected. This is a must have for aging skin in harsh climates.

I really hate to say it, but sunscreen is disgusting if you don’t use it up within 6 months (turns a weird color, starts to smell, feels really greasy). It’s luxurious, fluid and light if it’s a new bottle. Perhaps good for dry skin, but for oily skin I personally prefer physical sun blocks rather than chemical for a myriad of reasons.

Not Worth It

Doesn’t deserve the hype. For a $95 product, this sunscreen has nothing special. The ingredients are generic. I’m surprised that this fluid actually contains oxybenzone - red flag! The rest of the ingredients are ones you can find in ANY broad spectrum sunscreen: avobenzone, homosalate and octisalate. I could see why this has good reviews - it just has a nice thin texture and the consistency allows it to be worn daily with/without makeup. But honestly, with the ingredients of a chemical sunscreen, that’s really not hard to find. Like I said, nothing special. why would I pay almost 100 for the most basic ingredients found in ANY drugstore sunscreen? Also - it irritated the surroundings of my eyes even after I applied carefully. Stung my skin. Save your cash. Get a better deal EASILY.

Can’t not stand the oily finish to the skin

My daily skincare routine is like toner, serum, lotion and sunscreen. The texture is watery and fluid just like it’s description that gives pretty light layer to your skin. My only complaint is I can’t stand how oily my skin turned into after applying this sunblock cream. Will not buy again.
